In fact the pattern of weather changes and general environment is different in various parts of China. The common subtropical nature of China’s weather is observed in the rotation of main four seasons- winter, spring, summer and autumn. As a normal trait of the climate, the temperature can reach the extremities during both summer and winter. But the spring and autumn feature temperate and soothing weather and these are the two good seasons for tourists to visit China. Geographically China can be segregated into 3 parts which are North China, South China and Central China. The weather of China can be divided accordingly.

The characteristic of the weather in northern China is chilling winters. The dry but freezing northern winds are hold responsible for the huge drop in temperature. The winter persists from the month of January to March, especially in Urumqui and Mongolia. Beijing, the capital city encounters both snowy winters and sunny summers. The summer days prevail in the months of May and August. July is the month of heavy rains.

South China features the coastal part of the country and this is why the weather is slightly different from the rest. The humidity level increases in the months from April to September and the cause is the Typhoons. A brief winter season lasts from January to March but the effect is not extreme like northern china.

Central China features humid and warm summer which persists from the month of April to October. In fact the three places called Wuhan, Nanjing and Chonqing are termed as “Three furnaces” because of their blistering temperature. On the other hand the winters are equally cold and chilly. This is the definitive account of the overall climate in China.

Facts About Weather in Hong Kong

Weather in Hong Kong

China has finally shredded its “Third world country image” and has become the favorite destination of the tourists and also business entrepreneurs. Among the popular cities of China, Hong Kong holds a special position. The city features soothing weather and this is one reason why people from all over the world likes to come down round the year. Still the months of December and November are perfect time to visit Hong Kong. This is the time when you experience more number of sun-kissed days which will brighten the entire trip. The cool breeze makes the weather more charming. But as the winter sneaks in, the weather becomes colder and in January the temperature drops drastically. It becomes lower than 10 degrees even in the urban parts of Hong Kong. The freezing wind blowing from the south-eastern direction is hold responsible for the severe drop in temperature. The cloudy days make the city look gloomier.

Facts About Weather in Hong Kong

Summer comes to Hong Kong in the months of April and March. The humidity increases and the temperature eventually go higher. But evenings are much pleasant than the days. It feels great to stroll around the city in the fine afternoons and evenings. Foggy mornings in May, which can remain till August are little problematic for the local residents of Hong Kong. Heavy rainfall accompanies with thunderstorms is quite common these days. The worst weather changes are observed in Hong Kong from July to September. Cyclones hit the city quite often and cause severe damage to the public properties. In fact the highest wind speed observed in Hong Kong was 118 km ph. Tornados and snow-rains are equally dangerous when they hit this city.
Overall Hong Kong features the subtropical climate and this is the reason why the tourists should visit the city when the weather is at its best.

China Visa

Chinese Visa Facts

China is no more a third world country which is not counted as a tourist destination. A letter from the company should be attached with the documents in order to ensure the credibility of the person. Students and employees also need the regular documents for their China visa.
Once you have a valid visa, you can always enter China legally. In fact it is also possible to extend the time frame for the visa if required. So if you are planning a visit to China, get your visa ready in advance from the embassy.
<img width='1' height='1' China was also known as the “Long Wall” and was first built and reconstructed many times between the 6th Century BC and the 16th Century. It was created to help add protection to the north border of China and keep the invaders out from causing the collapse of the dynasties in rule at the time.
The Great Wall Of China Picture 1

When first built, the Great Wall was not made from bricks but was crafted from the earth, wood, and stones. Bricks were not used until the Ming Dynasty was in rule over China. The bricks were used in conjunction with lime, tile, and stone. The bricks were lighter and smaller making them better to use and found to be much faster when being moved from one place to the other. The bricks could also hold more weight than the earth and stone and the stone was a bit more difficult to set in place. It was built to be more than 4,000 miles long and at the highest point, had over a million soldiers guarding it. Millions of Chinese men died during the centuries it took in building of the Great Wall of China.
The Great Wall Of China Picture 2

Facts about China: Facts About Beijing Olympics 2008

Facts about China presents Facts About Beijing Olympics 2008
The 2008 Summer Olympics will be held in Beijing China. These world-famous Terracotta Warriors are part of a vast underground necropolis for China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi, that took 700,000 workers 36 years to create.

Myth says that in 206BC the first Emperor of Unified China, Ch'in ShiHuangdi, decreed that after his death his body would be clothed in jade and cast adrift in a lake of Mercury. The lake, within a pyramid, was to be protected by an everlasting army. Like Tutankhamun, in Egypt, lord Pacal, in Mexico and the Viracochas', of Peru Shi Huangdi taught the super-science of the sun and the higher orders of spirituality. They say that, after he died, he flew to the sun to live forever. In 1974, archaeologists actually discovered the first of more than 8,000 life-size terracotta warriors buried near the pyramid tomb of Ch'in Shi Huangdi, confirming that the legend was more than just a myth. But why were the massive soldiers, each weighing more than half a tone, buried there at all? Was it simply to guard the Emperor in the afterlife?Maybe one day we'll get the answers to this questions

more Facts about china soon

Facts about China: The Yangtze River

Facts about China presents The Yangtze River.

The Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia, flowing from the Tibetan Highlands right across China into the East Chinese sea. But there's something else too - Tibet has a precious culture based on principles of wisdom and compassion. This culture addresses what we lack in the world today; a very real sense of inter-connectedness. We need to protect it for the Tibetan people, but also for ourselves and our children.'
Richard Gere, Chairman of the Board of the International Campaign for Tibet said

For centuries Tibet, a vast high altitude plateau between China and India, remained remote from the rest of the world with a widely dispersed population of nomads, farmers, monks and traders. Tibet had its own national flag, its own currencny a distinct culture and religion, and controlled its own affairs. In 1949, following the foundation of the Chinese Communist state, the People's Liberation Army invaded Tibet and soon overpowered its poorly equipped army and guerilla resistance.
Tibet is important to China for strategic and economic reasons and because of the Communist Party's imperialist ambitions. In China today, it is a serious offence to say that Tibet is separate from China.
In March 1959, Tibetans rose up against the Chinese occupiers. The uprising was brutally crushed and the Tibetan leader, His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, escaped to India, followed by more than 80,000 Tibetans. Tens of thousands of Tibetans who remained were killed or imprisoned. Untold numbers, but at least hundreds of thousands, of Tibetans have died as a direct result of China's policies since 1949 - through starvation, torture and execution.

More facts about China soon

Facts about China: Beijing Olympic Game Facts and Figures

Facts about China presents Beijing Olympic Game Facts and Figures
280 billion yuan will be used to build 13 major Olympic stadium; 12 vertical traffic network of routs like Beijing-Chengde express way; morecity railways; and more subway. Not surprisingly, the Chinese don't have any foods they consider to be not eaten.
In spite of their unique varieties of food, most of the foods can also be found in the West. The main difference is that the cooking habits of the Chinese and Westerners are so different. The Chinese tend to combine certain flavors and with ingredients that are specially seasoned with specific sauces or spices.

The cuisine in China differs from region to region, but with major differences found between the north and the south. The spiciest cuisine in China is that found in Sichuan cooking. They tend to use garlic and pepper in allmost all of their dishes, while Cantonese cooking has less oil and spices in their vegetable, fish and seafood dishes. Beijing and Shandong cooking tends to use more cereal products (noodles, and pastry pouches either steamed or boiled) and use simple ingredients with spices and chili.

More facts about China soon...

Facts about China: Public toilets

In this part of "facts about China" we'll talk about public toilets.......

Chinese toilettes are definitely the state of the art .Unfortunately you will have to learn to deal with them otherwise your trip will be very short. Public toilets are maintained in a very bad way, normally toilet room consists of a hole in the ground or a channel where you do your need. Some toilets have no flushing while, the modern ones are equipped with a bucket of water. You'll find such toilets mainly at the railway stations and remote streets . Normally you won't get toilet paper, that's way a toilet paper is a must in your "luggage" . But things aren't that bad, the situation is getting better every year and most of the hotels are equipped with the "western style of a toilet".

More "facts about China" soon!

Facts about China: Funny fact - Spitting

In this part of "facts about China", one funny fact........
When visiting China for the first time, many tourists are shocked of the frequent spitting. Constructions continued over the centuries, with the most impressive portions built in the time of Ming Dynasty in the 14th century.
