Facts About Weather in China

China being the largest country of the world, it shows remarkable diversity in climate. In fact the pattern of weather changes and general environment is different in various parts of China. The common subtropical nature of China’s weather is observed in the rotation of main four seasons- winter, spring, summer and autumn. As a normal trait of the climate, the temperature can reach the extremities during both summer and winter. But the spring and autumn feature temperate and soothing weather and these are the two good seasons for tourists to visit China. Geographically China can be segregated into 3 parts which are North China, South China and Central China. The weather of China can be divided accordingly.

The characteristic of the weather in northern China is chilling winters. The dry but freezing northern winds are hold responsible for the huge drop in temperature. The winter persists from the month of January to March, especially in Urumqui and Mongolia. Beijing, the capital city encounters both snowy winters and sunny summers. The summer days prevail in the months of May and August. July is the month of heavy rains.

South China features the coastal part of the country and this is why the weather is slightly different from the rest. The humidity level increases in the months from April to September and the cause is the Typhoons. A brief winter season lasts from January to March but the effect is not extreme like northern china.

Central China features humid and warm summer which persists from the month of April to October. In fact the three places called Wuhan, Nanjing and Chonqing are termed as “Three furnaces” because of their blistering temperature. On the other hand the winters are equally cold and chilly.
